Got Pride USA was founded when Troy McGilvray attended a TMEA Convention in the early 2000’s. Troy had achieved Texas All-State honors in Choir. 

He started Got Pride USA in order to be a part of honoring Texas music students with a variety of items. Got Pride USA is a Garland, Texas business. Troy introduced the FIRST TMEA CHENILLE PATCHES offered at convention. His first year, he offered the iconic round patch in chenille adding the date sewn into the patch. He also introduced the Texas shaped patch to the convention only available in chenille.

Since then, Got Pride USA has introduced various size patches in both round and Texas shaped designs, shadowboxes, plaques, rehearsal hall banners, Best of the Best  t-shirts, and most recently, performance banners, retractable banners, and other items to celebrate the success of Texas students, their schools, directors/conductors, and their families. 

In 2019, Troy retired and turned to us, Roger & Christine Williams to continue the business. We were Troy’s long-time friends and screen printer for many years. Troy left us with a great legacy, and our focus and commitment to continuing with the same excellence are our guiding light as we move forward serving you. We are still based in Garland, Texas and;

Many of the items we offer are the result of requests from you, our valued customers. Last year we offered a “rocker” or “segment” patch to be placed above the iconic round patch to commemorate TMEA’s centennial. It was quite popular and we had an overwhelming number of requests to develop a new patch with the “rocker” in mind. As a result we have introduced a new patch design. We call the new patch the “Build-A-Patch.” We are excited to have you take a look at the new patch and give us your feedback. There are a number of advantages to the new style, so check it out! We still offer the iconic round and Texas shaped patches as well.

Our focus at Got Pride USA is to honor those students, directors/conductors, and parents who have proven to be the Best of the Best. We congratulate your accomplishments and the tenacity to learn, teach, and support the best K-12 musicians in the country! We remain open to your ideas and suggestions to offer items to honor your accomplishments.
